Rally – Maldon, April 2024

The club held it’s first rally of the year at the Museum of Power nr. Maldon in Essex. Whilst it was a small gathering we all had a great time and it was a lovely area to visit with plenty to do and see. The Museum of Power made us most welcome, they have a great museum with lot’s of Victorian engineering together with more recent exhibits of power related items, café, gardens, and other outside attractions. Situated just outside Maldon it was a very pleasant walk along the riverside into Maldon and the town itself with plenty of pubs and cafes. Down the hill to the estuary is the very popular Promenade Park along with the historic barge moorings at The Hythe and again plenty of cafes and pubs for refreshment.

Some took the opportunity to visit Burnham-On-Crouch either by bus or motorhome as well as the museum and tearoom at the Tiptree jam factory.

A great location, fantastic company, and although the weather was a little variable it was a brilliant rally. Thanks to all those who came along to make it such an enjoyable event.
